All levels require documented conformity with GMT standards. Higher distinctions reflect enhanced governance oversight, expanded quality controls, and demonstrated system maturity.

Certification Levels are not honorary titles. They are granted based on verified institutional evidence within defined evaluation criteria.

GMT Certification Levels

Three distinct levels recognizing institutional governance maturity and system performance.

Level I

Certified Institution

Verified Compliance with Core Standards

This level confirms that the institution has met all baseline GMT requirements for governance integrity, clinical safety systems, risk management controls, and operational accountability.

Certification at this level demonstrates:

  • Documented compliance with all core GMT standards
  • Verified governance and oversight structures
  • Operational clinical safety systems
  • Risk management and regulatory alignment documentation
  • Established quality monitoring mechanisms

Certified status indicates structured institutional compliance within the defined scope of evaluation.

Level II

Certified with Distinction

Advanced Governance and System Maturity

This designation is granted to institutions that exceed baseline compliance criteria and demonstrate elevated governance oversight, expanded quality controls, and enhanced operational transparency.

Institutions recognized at this level typically demonstrate:

  • Expanded performance measurement systems
  • Formalized board-level quality governance oversight
  • Advanced risk mitigation frameworks
  • Structured internal audit programs with documented outcomes
  • Enhanced patient communication transparency mechanisms

Certification with Distinction reflects institutional maturity beyond minimum compliance requirements.

This level may require:

  • Multi-year quality performance documentation

Determination Criteria

Certification Levels are determined based on:

Degree of Conformity

With core standards and baseline requirements

System Implementation

Evidence of structured operational controls

Oversight Controls

Documented accountability mechanisms

Quality Governance

Maturity of quality management systems

Sustainability

Process continuity and institutionalization

Advancement between levels requires documented evidence. Levels are not assigned automatically and are subject to periodic re-evaluation.

Scope and Limitations

Certification Levels apply only to the defined scope of services evaluated during the certification process.

Designation:

  • Validates institutional systems within evaluated scope
  • Reflects documented compliance at time of evaluation
  • Subject to periodic re-evaluation

Does Not:

  • Imply superiority across unassessed services
  • Replace national regulatory recognition
  • Guarantee clinical outcomes
  • Remain valid if compliance conditions change

Important: Certification reflects documented institutional systems at the time of evaluation. Levels may be suspended or revoked if compliance conditions change.

Seal Usage and Public Representation

Institutions may use the GMT Certification Seal corresponding to their awarded level only during the validity period and within approved representation guidelines.

Unauthorized modification, misrepresentation of scope, or use beyond validity period may result in enforcement action and revocation.

All certification levels are publicly verifiable through the GMT Registry.
