Seal Usage Policy

1. Purpose
This Seal Usage Policy establishes the conditions under which certified entities may use the Global Medical Trust (GMT) Certification Mark and Seal.
The purpose of this policy is to:
- Protect the integrity of the GMT Certification Mark
- Prevent misuse or misrepresentation
- Ensure consistency in public communication
- Safeguard institutional credibility
The GMT Certification Mark represents documented compliance at the time of evaluation and is subject to strict usage controls.
2. Ownership of Certification Mark
The Global Medical Trust Certification Mark, Seal, logo, and related design elements are the exclusive intellectual property of Global Medical Trust.
Certification does not transfer ownership of the mark to the certified entity.
All rights remain reserved by GMT.
3. Authorized Use
Certified entities may use the GMT Certification Mark only under the following conditions:
- Certification status is Active
- Use corresponds exactly to the approved certification level
- The mark is displayed in its official, unaltered form
- The mark is used only in connection with the certified entity and approved scope
Authorized uses may include:
- Official website
- Institutional brochures
- Corporate communications
- Facility premises
- Marketing materials (subject to accuracy requirements)
4. Prohibited Use
The following uses are strictly prohibited:
- Use after certification expiration
- Use during suspension or revocation
- Alteration, redesign, distortion, or modification of the seal
- Misrepresentation of certification scope
- Use implying governmental endorsement
- Use by affiliated entities not individually certified
- Transfer of certification mark rights to third parties
The Certification Mark may not be used in a manner that is misleading, deceptive, or inconsistent with GMT standards.
5. Scope Representation
Certified entities must clearly indicate:
- Certification level
- Certification validity period (if displayed)
- That certification applies only to the approved entity and scope
Certification does not imply endorsement of:
- Individual practitioners (unless separately certified)
- Specific medical outcomes
- Non-certified services
6. Digital Use Guidelines
When displayed online:
- The Certification Mark must not be modified
- The mark should link to the GMT Public Verification Registry where feasible
- The mark must reflect current certification status
GMT reserves the right to monitor digital usage.
7. Monitoring and Enforcement
GMT actively monitors the use of its Certification Mark.
If unauthorized or improper use is identified, GMT may:
- Issue written notice of violation
- Require immediate corrective action
- Suspend certification
- Revoke certification
- Issue public notice of non-compliance
- Pursue legal enforcement where applicable
Failure to comply with corrective directives may result in formal revocation.
8. Expiration, Suspension, and Revocation
Upon expiration, suspension, or revocation of certification:
- The certified entity must immediately cease all use of the Certification Mark
- All digital and printed representations must be removed
- Continued display constitutes unauthorized use
9. Reporting Misuse
Suspected misuse of the GMT Certification Mark may be reported to:
Reports will be reviewed under GMT governance procedures.
10. Amendments
GMT reserves the right to amend this Seal Usage Policy at its discretion.
Updated versions supersede prior versions upon publication.
